Terms and Conditions of Service


1. Services Provided

Cynon Computers provides on-site (callout) and remote support for computer hardware and software. Services include diagnostics, repairs, system optimization, and technical troubleshooting for personal and small business users.


2. Estimates and Quotes

  • All quotes are free and valid for 7 days.
  • Any changes to cost or scope will be confirmed before work continues.
  • Diagnostic work may carry a small charge if no repair is completed.

3. Parts and Repairs

  • Only brand-new parts are used unless you agree in writing to use refurbished components.
  • Special-order parts may be non-refundable depending on supplier terms.
  • By confirming a job, you authorize Cynon Computers to carry out the agreed work.

4. Data and Responsibility

  • You are responsible for backing up important data before work begins.
  • Cynon Computers accepts no liability for data loss or corruption during diagnostics or repair.
  • Data recovery and backup services are available upon request.

5. Remote Support

  • Remote sessions require internet access and temporary installation of remote access tools.
  • You are responsible for your own internet connection and device security during the session.
  • Charged in 30-minute increments, minimum 30 minutes.

6. Callouts and Site Visits

  • A callout fee may apply depending on your location.
  • If repairs can’t be completed on-site, further steps will be advised.
  • Work areas must be safe and accessible. Unsafe environments may result in cancellation.

7. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed.
  • Accepted: Cash, Bank Transfer
  • Digital receipts will be provided on request.

8. Unfinished or Cancelled Jobs

  • If a job is paused for more than 30 days (due to lack of response, parts approval, or payment), it may be closed.
  • Any ordered parts remain chargeable, even if the repair is not completed by customer request.

9. Warranty

  • Repairs are guaranteed for 30 days covering labour and supplied parts.
  • Warranty does not cover:
    • New or unrelated faults
    • Accidental or physical damage
    • Software issues or malware
    • Tampering by third parties
  • Warranty is void if the system is altered after repair without notice.

10. Liability

Cynon Computers is not liable for:

  • Loss of data, earnings, or productivity
  • Undiagnosed or pre-existing faults
  • Delays due to suppliers or shipping

11. Customer Conduct

  • Aggressive, threatening, or abusive behaviour will result in immediate refusal of service.
  • You must provide honest and accurate information about your equipment and its history.

12. Privacy

  • Your personal data and contact information are kept confidential and used only for service-related communication.
  • We do not share or sell your details to third parties.

13. Legal

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled under UK jurisdiction.
